Solem Township is a township in Douglas County, Minnesota, United States. The population was 239 at the 2000 census. Solem Township was organized in 1870, and is said to be named after a place in Norway. The farm where the Kensington Runestone was said to have been found is now a local park in Solem Township. ==Geography== According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 35.9 square miles (92.9 km²), of which 33.9 square miles (87.9 km²) of it is land and 1.9 square miles (5.0 km²) of it (5.41%) is water.
